Meet the romantic port town of Nafplio (first capital of Greece after the Greek Revolution in 1821) with outstanding neoclassical buildings (walk around the old center and enjoy a light lunch or refreshment while attending the fabulus Bourgi Castle). Visit the extrordinary well preserved Ancient Theater of Epidaurus famous for its acoustic (it is still operated in summer months). Lastly and on the returning back to Athens you will have a short stop in the famous Corinth Canal which connects the Saronic Gulf with the Corintian Gulf and separates the Peloponnese region from the rest Greek mainland.
